Both 2013 and 2016 had Super Bowl performances, tours and the idea that an album is coming soon.

We're in April now.
ST was released in December.
Of course the hype would build more in 2013 though. Who is denying this?

Nope, in 2013 she was all over the place, the SB performance generated a lot of hype than this year.

Also she polarized the GP this year with Formation, it hurt her a bit, a lot of people didn't like it.

I mean the era might be successful but it's definitely a decline from the last one, at least for now.
