They did one just this year for the men and of course the list looks like I thought it would. Artists are ****, literally they make NOTHING, its their owners who make the money.
Fueled by his interests in Sean John clothing, his Bad Boy Worldwide record label and, most significantly, his Diageo joint-venture vodka brand Ciroc, Diddy has a amassed a fortune of $475 million. Jay-Z ranks a close second, with $450 million.
Superproducer/rapper Dr. Dre ranks third with $125 million, fueled by past earnings generated from his own career and by helping to launch those of Snoop Dogg and Eminem. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, a onetime Dr. Dre protege who reaped a nine-figure payday from the sale of Vitamin Water to Coca-Cola, rounds out the top five in a tie with Cash Money Records cofounder Bryan “Birdman” Williams at $100 million.

The big bucks come from touring (if you have a nice deal), from endorsements, movies, and from owning businesses. And of course royalties in some cases like Tina, Cher, and Madonna.

Beyonce music earnings weren't as big as Britneys or P!nk in 2009

I think you're forgetting the contracts before the albums are released, I remember Janet made a 80 million deal with her label to release few albums, the albums selling or not, the artists have massive contracts with the labels before making them.

Little boy, Britney does not have the best selling fragrance of all time, she is in second place. As a matter of fact, I bet Beyonce has already pocketed more money because she actually OWNS her perfume.
Topping our list this year is White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor. Elizabeth Arden sold $54 million worth of the scent in the U.S. last year. Lee, of Euromonitor, says the scent appeals to baby boomers who associate Taylor with the glamour of her youth. But the perfume also has an appealing smell; it's been a bestseller since it hit stores in 1991.
Ranking second with $27 million in sales is Driven by Derek Jeter. Lee says that, for the most part, scents for men are bought by women for their boyfriends and husbands. So the appeal of Driven probably has more to do with Jeter's persona than with his baseball skills.
In third place: Heat by Beyoncé. The singer launched her perfume in 2010, and it did well right out of the gate with $21 million in sales. It doesn't hurt that Beyoncé promoted the fragrance with a steamy commercial deemed too hot for daytime TV in the U.K.
Four scents tie for third place, each with $18 million in sales: Unforgivable by P. Diddy's Sean John brand, NYC by Sarah Jessica Parker, Fancy by Jessica Simpson and Harajuku Lovers by Gwen Stefani.
NYC is an impressive newcomer. Parker has several other scents, including Lovely, Dawn and Endless, but NYC, which launched in 2009, is her bestseller.

There's no way Bey makes 2 million on album sales. I think that is incorrect...

That was a landmark deal for Janet, and no one else has come close since.

True. I was referring to Rihanna having more money that Whitney when she wasn't a big album seller/touring artist until recently. I mean Whitney has a album that sold over 40 million copies ww. She must have made millions off of that. Mariah made about $2.50 a album and had albums selling tons ww as well. Surely they made the bulk of their money off that.

I don't think it's really possible to calculate most celebrity fortunes, particularly when you are attempting to do so for the major players and exceptional earners in the nine figures and beyond range. All we really have are rough estimates.
It's really cute how uptight some of you get every time we have this (or a similar) discussion.

I would think that for an album like IASF she may make like 20-25 million on ALBUM sales.
