So if someone sells 50k in the US and 200k outside the US are they more global than Rihanna?
Sounds like Shakira. So honestly, yes. A moderately successful era, or even a flop era, can still be more global than a huge US era. To me all that "global" means is that their sales are spread fairly evenly around the world... they have a presence in several continents.
Britney will. She opened with 460k in the deadest season with no international promo since 2008.
Rihanna will open big eventually, when the album isn't rushed.
Duca Sis stawp. Britney can open decently whenever ****ing she wants, no need to prove that to the lessors. And Rihanna sells in the long run, and we all know it.
Sad to see the navy happy with these numbers. I mean she's the biggest superstar in the world so promo isn't really needed. I mean does Taylor need promo. Does Britney need it? Did set fire to the rain need it to get to no.1?
But it's understandable I wouldn't have high expectations if I was a Rihanna Stan either. With her the bar isn't too high.
Does it really though? I mean they both sold the same outside the U.S. so is it Tay's fault that Rih can't pull off even 1/4th of Tay's debut in the U.S.
RED is a HUGE era here. An album that sells 1.2M in the US should sell more than a FIFTH of that in the rest of the world. You guys aren't gonna convince me.
Does it really though? Taylor sold 300k outside the US am I right? It just suggests that Taylor is more popular WW and in the US (even though I don't agree)
She sold 250k outside the U.S. which is about what Rih sold outside the U.S.
Are we really going to sit here and act as if this is good? This is horrible. I'd expect better from the stanbase that keeps calling her the leading pop star of this generation / the Black Madonna. Because with these numbers, she ain't leading ****.
Rihanna will never sell more than 600K of her album in a week, but she can stabilize herself and have very good sales in final and maybe bigger than some big opening numbers in first week
Knowing that she did 238K in US and 99K in UK and have just 4/5 days in some countries, you can't expect more than 500K

Are you guys serious with this trolling? I'm about ready to close this thread.
What did you all expect? 700K? Like I said, same thing EVERY year with Rihanna. Hating on her for no reason when you all KNOW what she debuts with. It's not changing! And neither are you, nor is this thread. So clean up the act or it's done.
