Umm. Haven't Christina and Britney been active as solo artists since '98, and Alicia since 2001; with Britney being on her seventh studio album, Christina on her fourth, and Alicia on her fifth? As well as all the other compilation, remix, and live albums in between?
Also, let's just assume the decline in album sales initiated around, say, 2003, 2004.
In The Zone - 2003: 2,970,000
Try This - 2003: Was only certified Platinum, so I'm assuming the amassed sales weren't very high.
American Life - 2003: 675,000
The Diary of Alicia Keys - 2003: 4,600,000
After Songs in A Minor turned out such a huge success, the follow-up sales were to be expected. Sales were declining in Britney's case since Oops... I Did It Again. Madonna's album sales were never the biggest numbers in the US to begin with, and with the success of M!ssundaztood, why did Try This flop? Dangerously in Love was Beyoncé's debut album.

Beyonce has indeed sold 10 million but actually Rihanna had 12 million single sales from "Good Girl Gone Bad". Had this exact discussion on another forum when determining who has had the biggest digital sales era and for females the top 3 are
1. Lady Gaga (15+ million)
2. Rihanna (12+ million)
3. Beyonce (10+ million)

 Like A Virgin sold 10, and Madonna sold 5 - respectively her highest US sales. I'd classify them as adequate, especially considering how albums sold in the 80's. Not knocking Madonna's overall success in albums; of course not. I said US, bew.

Well Beyoncé is still the African American (technical subcategory of ~black~) female artist with the biggest digital sales from one album. Rihanna has no African American descent. On another note I'm surprised to see two black woman at the top of the list.

I'm just saying that if you wanted to be even more specific then Rihanna is would be the black and Hispanic female artist with the biggest digital sales from one album, and Beyoncé would be the black and African American female artist with the biggest digital sales from one album. Just like if two of the women were Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Same concept.
