Beyonce is very close to legend status in my eyes. I feel that she has proved herself time and time again and has achieved great longevity. She even managed to maintain cultural relevance during her least successful era (4) and has made a massive comeback since.

Both artists debuted around the same time. One of them has just released a respected, critically acclaimed album that has crossed 3 million copies worldwide in less than two months. She is riding high after a massive Super Bowl performance, high profile endorsements, and a record breaking tour.

The other has just released an album that has yet to crack 500k WW and has 0 hits.

This has got to be a flat out lie. How can Britney have made more money than Bey up until very recently if Beyonce has been richer than her for so long now.

Beyonce was iffy before the BEYONCE album but that record literally cemented her as one of the most iconic/legendary artist of our current generation.

Britney is only iconic/legendary to the gays and a few girls (she is more infamous than anything else tbh). This is because she keeps releasing crap material that nobody respects or takes serious. If she would have somehow stopped with circus the public would probably still see her as an artist/icon that came back from a bad time in her life, but she had to go and release lazy era's like FF and BJ) Brit keeps ruining her legacy.
