Bangerz outsold many people.
For example, Bangerz' debut week at 270K outsold Xtina's past two debut weeks combined at 183,408 (73,408 for Lotus, 110,000 for Bionic). Keep in mind, sales climates were better for Bionic (2010) released during Q3 and Lotus (2012) released during Q4.
Not quite sure what you're laughing about.

These are some bad numbers. But she had a great career. Album is still pretty good. 6/10 i'd say.

This is a flop. Let's call it what it is and move on.

Drake was a surprise release that slayed because of hype.
50 shades was a soundtrack for one of the most anticipated movies of the decade
The others, except for Meghan, don't fall into Kelly's target market.
You can only compare Meghan to Kelly, and let's not forget to mention Meghan had one of the biggest January debuts of this decade, and will most likely be in the top 3 female pop openings of the year.

Pretty sure Kelly's Greatest Hits outsold Christina's last two studio album efforts combined as well. I mean. Literally all X-Tina fans can exit this thread immediately.

Just as I predicted. There hasn't been much hype around this + HBS is not a smash, so...

the numbers are not good what so ever! Lmfao ![skull](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/faces/skull_zpsksni5fmm.gif) 75-80k is not good nor decent, it's also funny how a certain members are running to defend these #s but drag other pop stars when they have done much much better ![Lipton](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/5b373a2e.gif) that being said I'm not surprised considering she didn't have that much promo and the single underperfomed but the #s are not good at all.

Why bring facts to a party filled with stale shade, unfunny innuendo and pathetic attacks? But of course your post will be warned while the many, many others deserving of points will go undisciplined.

look, didn't Stronger sell like 160K and that was in 2011, with a top 10 platinum lead single? Taking into account how this lead single is doing, what year it is and the sales climate it was obvious to me the opening week sales for this album would be much lower is all I'm saying.

Its deserved tbh. It's her weakest material. It all seems so half-assed.
But she's been around for over a decade so if she flops now, it's not a huge deal.

Considering we've had #1 albums recently debut with 52k, it's hilarious how you think you're correct.
As you said, minimal promo and no hit single and no gimmicks. Considering this is her 7th album, I think these numbers are great, not all can achieve such a feat.
People should educate themselves on the current music climate and take into consideration who they're comparing when trying to drag these numbers.

i wouldn't be surprised if she overperformed though.

To clear up some confusion, this is what the 2010s look like just in the U.S.:
Kelly
Stronger - 1,107,000
Greatest Hits: Chapter One - 541,000
Wrapped In Red - 837,000
Total: 2,485,000
Christina Aguilera:
Bionic - 330,000
Burlesque Soundtrack - 707,000
Lotus - 290,000
Total: 1,327,000
Why are we making fun of Kelly Clarkson, again?

Can you do it for solo singles as well? Collaborated singles don't count because we can spend all day arguing it was the other artist that brought the sales and such.

Kelly doesn't really do first weeks anymore, she does much better in the long run. This is a marathon not a sprint.
