Lol. You don't go to a Britney Spears show to hear live singing. Everyone in their right mind knows that. It's been that way for years. You go to a Britney show for entertainment, production, lights, energy, and dancing. Which is exactly what you will get.

I'm getting tired of the excuse of "Oh you don't go to a Britney show to see live singing." I mean, lbr nothing in Britney's current show is exciting or visually anything you can't see with other actual touring acts. Her dancing is subpar, live singing non existent, costumes unappealing, and she doesn't even command the stage like a veteran popstar would. Miley Cyrus even has a better rapport with her audience and she's younger. And that's not trying to raise Miley but it's simply the truth.

I'm not even a Britney hater but Britney fans always want to talk about Christina fans holding onto the past. Well look whose fans are REALLY holding onto the past. Britney Spears is merely a prop to make money. She embraces it and goes with it because she knows her place and is comfortable doing her little hour and a half show every night and going home to her kids. But Elton is right even if it is a lil bitchy.

Of course people don't go for the singing, but Elton isn't saying people do. He's commenting on the absurdity today that popstars like Britney can get away with this, with no soul or humanity as he says. Whatever your expectations are, the fact remains that at this point Britney is more like of a dancer than a singer, only she is the worst dancer onstage and you're paying to see the idea/spectacle of Britney not the talents which is what Elton seems to want. (This isn't even shade. All her dancers are professionals and it's clear that they all exceed her in dance ability).

She got her record deal by singing. Got HUGE because of her singing and continued to sell records of her singing. People didn't buy and listen to her CD's for the dancing on them.

Come for her lip syncing all you want but Britney's singing and vocals were always integral to her huge career. To try and deny that is backwards.
