No. She signed with Jive of another 3 albums before Blackout was dropped. And the last time I checked, compilation CDs are counted. Madonna's Celebration and Hilary's latest GH are examples of it.

not all contracts allow GH albums to count as an album.

The reason why she's probably going to drop this album so quick is because she wants out. I don't think Britney wants to continue in this business. If The Singles Collection would have counted as an album, she wouldn't be working so fast to release another album. She would take some time off to be with her boys. So she's still under contract for one more album.

Britney signed for another four albums after 'Britney'. That's when she thought she wanted to be in the business for ever. When she Came out she was Jives puppet. That whole image went until she re-signed with them and she wanted creative control. She then released 'In The Zone'. If she would have still been under contract they would have never let her take control. Since they didn't want to Lose her they agreed to her terms. She chose everything during the 'in the Zone' era. She chose what singles were going to be released and when.

why would a major label give a NEW artist a 6 album contract? That's stupid. Labels don't do that because there is a chance they might flop. Her first contract involved

there's a chance Britney will be retiring. She's clearly unhappy in this industry. Her career is not her number one priority anymore.

She just need her freedom back and a long drama-free vacation in Louisiana.
