Who is really getting dragged here? Like, I can't at the others trying to drag Gaga for having the highest female 1st week sales. What does that say about your fave?

Just stating the facts.

In the end both will sell a lot and I won't enjoy an album less cause it sells less than somebody else but you all fight all day if that makes you happy

It's funny how now that Gaga is struggling to sell albums (I won't even mention the singles department) you are coming for Katy's album sales, an artist you always called "singles artist" while Gaga was the "albums artist". It's really pathetic that an albums artist doing 150k more than the singles artist on it's 1st week. The even more sad is that the first one is going to have a huge drop comparing to her previous opening (which ended with more than 7 mill albums sold) while the second one had a 33% increase.

Everyone can find their reasons to be happy, but this is just not enough to defend Gaga, the album seller.

What is there to defend? Gaga will have the highest first week numbers of any female release this year, even though one of the females label predicted higher numbers than HDD predicts for Gaga.

Dont see how anyone wins in this situation except for the female who actually will have the highest first week numbers.

I think the better question is did you read? You said " no1 was predicting prism to do 500k" and he simply responded with tweets of a someone, who just so happens to be the ED of Billboard, who was predicting that.

Where did he mention it being official?

there was no 500k projection from them. their early projection was 400k for prism.
and her first week was disappointing too.

they're music experts who have more infors than us, the shipment, pre-orders, promotions, past records about sales.
it's more believable than us.

also the projection shows those industry peoples expectation.
so in this case, both of them underperformed.

First Applause was going to demolish Roar. When that didn't happen, it became well Gaga is an album seller. Now that's looking unlikely. 350k is surely below most of you alls expectations from the title you've given her. Especially since it's barely 80k more than Katy.

After all that you still can't slow down from this high mighty complex. I'm digging ARTPOP (more than Prism actually) but it'll be a 3rd egg in your face if the situation reoccurs where Katy has longevity and Gaga steadily dips downward.
