I saw it last night and it was a really great movie. I believe that anyone going in with an open mind would be impressed with Katy. It's disappointing that so many people are so eager to see her fail. I'm so glad she released this movie to theaters and that I could see it in 3D. It was a really, really great experience.

Fair enough with the albums and singles, but of course Katy doesn't lose - Paramount does if the budget is not made back.
Don't forget also that all newspapers print box office standings and accompanying articles. The news of the movies' struggles will be read by the general public, so there's a sort of embarrassment factor there for Katy. But the DVD sales should even it out, methinks.

I'd say Britney and Gaga movies would do really well.

Paramount did expect Katy's movie to pull a Justin Bieber's number. So the promotional budget might be on the same calibre like Bieber's, which is around $20M.

A new prediction done by boxoffice.com indicates the film may not even pass $10.5M this weekend
