I believe that gender = sex and trans people were just born in the wrong one, so they should be allowed to change it for the sake of their comfort of life. They will, however never be fully the members of their opposite sex. There is no such thing as "genderfluid" and all that

The way someone acts or behaves or presents themselves (their gender) is not predicated on their biological sex. if this were true, gender roles would hold across cultural boundaries and throughout history. They don't.

Why not do everything to encourage kids struggling with gender identity to accept their gender and sex. Teach them that a boy isn't just somebody who likes sports, wrestling and actions figures; a boy can like cooking, shopping and dolls and still be a boy, and a straight one at that. Why encourage kids to identify as something that will likely only hurt them in the future?

Eh, it's only in one school system (there are over 100 city/county public school systems here in NC) in one of the major liberal strongholds in the state; it's not touching the conservative areas.

I don't see the harm in promoting awareness in educators on certain topics; however, I think it goes too far (and gets seriously annoying) when people start splitting hairs over pronouns and telling people they can't even say boy/girl. I do think it's a good thing however, to discourage teachers from using gender/sex as a means of separation and encouraging/discouraging certain activities.

Your sex is biological. While your gender is societal. Your sex can be female, but your gender can be male.
