Artpop was destined to flop. I remember the day when she teased the title, I was even the first one who made a thread about "Artpop" as a possible title. I KNEW this was going to flop. "Artpop" is pretentious and people simply didn't understand the message behind it. We can only hope she learned her lesson and her next production will be more GP-friendly. Honestly, she never disappointed me. It's not my fault people are so ignorant when it comes to great music.

We all know all of her ideas and plans for the ARTPOP era were all ruined long time ago with the management issues. We saw that coming.

I think the issue here is that she's acting completely blasé about it. It's not about what she promised, it's about the fact that she made a promise and the absolute least she can do is make a real explanation. Not just laugh and act like fans haven't been anticipating this for quite sometime.

Like, do you think she sat down one day and said "**** the millions I put into this app, I'm not doing anything with it anymore"? No, that's not what happened. Of course she wishes everything went as planned, but they didn't and there's nothing she can do. ARTPOP is over. She has moved on. It makes no sense to cry about new ARTPOP songs when people have collectively moved on from ARTPOP, including the fans.

Trust that if DWUW shot to the top ten and possible so did the third single people will not be treating it the way they are now.
ARTPOP wasn't going to flop if she handled it better in terms of the look, sound etc. The title isn't the problem.

The ARTPOP era did not go as planned and she still tried to ride with it. To hell with the app.
I enjoyed the album and she slayed my life front row at the Garden so I'm fine.

I mean I can't speak for anyone else but I was most excited for the gagatv and track star features on the app, that's the only reason I was holding onto a bit of hope for the app. but whatever it's done it's over

If something sounds too good to be true then it probably is. That saying exists for a reason, people! I downloaded the app thinking that there was a big possibility this unreleased music would never come to light from the beginning. While I know Gaga is party to blame I think that we're all too hard on her at times. I think she has a lot of things that she would love to do but is stopped from doing by the label or other people that she works with. Plus, I don't think it's that easy to just leak a bunch of unfinished songs. If it were, why doesn't every artist do it? She still worked in collaboration with others on every single one of these tracks...perhaps those producers don't want every unfinished demo of theirs to be put out online for free?
Also, she's in a tough spot right now. People look for any and every reason to bash her and her typical haters would be perched wanting to trash anything that she puts out. And while I know unreleased demos aren't going to create national headlines, she's probably doing the right thing by trying to avoid any further negativity towards herself and her career at this point. Focus on the tour for now and then focus on Cheek to Cheek later this year. I'm hoping that album can at least help her to be seen in a more positive light again...at least to the media/critics, which could help her a lot. It's probably best that when it comes to her own material she just starts fresh whenever she chooses to work on it.

Of course the whole era has been managed HORRIBLY. But still, I think she was too pretentious. Everything was too pretentious. She should've sticked to the classy first promo pic. It was everything. And worked on her performances.

Besides the commercial side of it, ARTPOP was a TOTAL disaster in any possible way.
All these things, music videos and projects she promised us....we never got them.
I'm surprised there are still people who can tolerate this and find it funny, because the whole situation and her state of career during the ARTPOP era was/is just ridiculous.
And it's not even like I still expected to get anything from this **** ass app, it's just the way she handles everything regarding her career right now. It's just that EVERYTHING GOES WRONG and EVERYTHING FALLS APART and it's only her and her team's fault.
