Who expects at least one Paramore song in the top 5?
[Everyone raises their hands]
Well you would be right. Actually there are 2.
Who expects one of them to be #1?
[Everyone raises their hands]
Well you would be WRONG
Who takes it away. Well read on to find out...
Rock songs 5-1:
5. The Exies- "God We Look Good (Going Down in Flames)"
I'm going to assume everyone either dislikes or doesn't know this song. To me it was simply awesome. It retired on my countdown.
4. Paramore- "For A Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic"
I think this is the catchiest Paramore song, perhaps too much so. This is not a single and neither is the #2 song below either, but who cares.
3. In This Moment- "Beautiful Tragedy"
I don't expect a comment from Ryan this time like "Osome to the max" after this song made top 3. Same situation as #5, most either hate it or don't know it. I absolutely love this song and it could have easily been #1 as the top 3 were very close together.
2. Paramore- "Let The Flames Begin"
My favorite song off of Riot (although that has changed several times so this might not be my permanent favorite). Also not a single but too awesome to be left out of my countdown.
1. RED- "Breathe Into Me"
Shocked? Maybe you are. This song would be, like Ryan would say, "Osome to the max". It retired on my countdown and was #1 3 times. This song was like a drug to me. It has been played on my itunes more times than any other song and without question my top song of the year.
Mainstream 5-1:
5. Chamillionaire- "Hip Hop Police"
4. Kelly Clarkson- "Sober"
3. Alicia Keys- "Like You'll Never See Me Again"
2. Kelly Clarkson- "Never Again"
1. A Fine Frenzy- "Almost Lover" (which happens to be the only mainstream song to crack my top 50 in plays on my itunes which shows you how much I favor rock music.)
Thank you all for commenting and caring. This is the end of my 2007 year end chart. Sometime tomorrow I will post a recap with everything together all in one post.
