1. They don't wanna hear how much they need to lose weight constantly, they already know this.
2. Don't say "are you really gonna eat that?" or "you shouldn't eat that"
3. They don't like to be singled out in society as a sub-group i.e. "Your thoughts on overweight people?"
4. 9 times out of 10 they know they need to lose weight but it's not easy. It's easy for a skinny person to say "just lose weight" because MOST of them have never been there. It's not a walk in the park and the struggle does horrendous things to you mentally, physically and emotionally. That's how some overweight individuals develop eating disorders.
5. If you wanna help, say "hey, let's go to the gym" or "hey, wanna take a walk with me" don't patronize.
6. It's their life, if they want a damn burger, give them one

Well said sis!
Congrats on getting to your ideal weight as well.
Reading this thread makes me sad, I realize how shallow society can be. I understand why some people don't find overweight people attractive. but if it's a problem for you... don't date overweight people?
I also think boys have a lot more body image pressure then people give us credit for. I mean, if girls are moderately overweight (BMI 25-29), they are celebrated for being curvy. Whether a boy has a BMI of say 27, or 35 - it makes no difference- he is "Fat".
