I love anthems, especially the lesbian ones! LOL. Ok, people are taking this fun song way too seriously like with the whole religion issues and her being a Christian. I mean, Katy just want us to recognize that she was at party, got drunk, kissed a girl and she simply liked it. It's a love it or hate it track, which means, these kind of songs are usually absolute hits. I Kissed a Girl has been getting monumental amounts of airplay in the U.S., and to most people, the track became an overrated piece of guilty pleasure. However, I believe the song is more than just a guilty pleasure, but rather a pop anthem that marks her career in this business. I love the last verse where she raises her vocal during ain't no big deal, it's innocenttttt. <3 There is no deny that the track has become a part of 2008's pop culture as we see girls have a faux-fumble on the dancefloor and endure endless references to cherry chapstick.

But NG,
1) Perry admitted that she's never actualyl kissed a girl.
2) This kind of shameless pandering makes the whole homo/bisexual community look horrible
3) Catchy does not equal quality.
4) She sounds off-key - and this is with the added effect of Pro-tools!
The genius of your 25 almost makes up for it. ALMOST.
