That's not a mansion tho. The average list price for the MacGregor neighborhood/Parkwood Dr (where ^ that house is located) in Houston, TX is $386,114 -- which would equate to a mortgage payment of around $1,800.00 monthly. A two income household with each person earning 30-35k annually could pretty easily afford that house payment with a household income that isn't much higher than the US national average of 52k annually.
It's not hard to get a large house in the US with two average incomes and decent credit --
especially in the south where you can get a
lot of house for your money in comparison to other regions/cities. Yeah, they lived quite well but, they worked hard and leveraged everything they had to get it and lost it when Mathew sacrificed his job to put full energy into management of the group. No, Bey obviously isn't a rags to riches case; however, to claim they were rich is a misrepresentation as well, IMO. People in this thread are trying it claiming she "bought her way in" when they literally had to lose everything with Mathew leaving his job so DC could have a chance.
