50. TREY SONGZ - Can't Be Friends
Kicking off the top fifty, is none other than Trey Songz with one of the best R&B songs of the YEAR! Easily the best thing to come from this new era. It's almost classic. I know almost everyone can relate to this one too.
49. JAY-Z - Young Forever f/ Mr. Hudson
One of the many singles from 2009's
Blueprint 3. I think this track is epic. Mr. Hudson has so much potential to be huge in the states, he should be receiving the success Bruno Mars is right now.
48. YOUNG JEEZY - Lost My Mind f/ Plies
CAN'T SPELL SOBER! Banger o the year? I mean seriously...this is why Jeezy will continue to keep Rick in a choke hold, cranking out stuff like this every time he comes out. Ugh. I can't even explain what that bass line does to me. I could do without Plies though. I loved Ciara's remix.
47. DIDDY - DIRTY MONEY - Hello Good Morning f/ Nicki Minaj & Rick Ross
This track was cool initially with T.I. but I grew to LOVE it when they added Nicki's verse and video. Just shows the magically touch she has to ordinary (wack) Hip Hop artist like Diddy.
46. Dondria - You're The One
She's a flop but I almost played the FLOP out of this song in 2010. Everything about it just does it for me. The organ, her vocals, the lyrics, the hook, perfect.
45. JUSTIN BIEBER - Baby f/ Ludacris
This song is so cute. I LOVE IT. Catchy and innocent, fits him perfectly. That's what makes it so cute. Luda killed it too, as usual.
44. KANYE WEST - Monster f/ Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver
EPIC TRACK. Everything is flawless. The production KNOCKS. Rick, Kanye, Nicki, Jay & Bon ALL delivered. This should have picked up where "Power" left off, but sadly Kanye is a mess this era. *KANYE SHRUG*
43. JUELZ SANTANA - Back To The Crib f/ Chris Brown
Gosh, I freaking love this song. Chris' hook is everything and Juelz is delivered as well. I love the video too. It was very cute.
Shawty say she wanna roll wit me I said Yeah, oh yeah!
42. TREY SONGZ - Say Aah f/ Fabolous
This was an instant favorite last year when I listened to "Ready", I didn't think SMASH but I really liked it. Glad it was a big hit for him.
41. RIHANNA - Only Girl (In The World)
Wasn't a big fan of it from the beginning but a few times of hearing it on the radio at high volumes changed that. I love the track. It sounds so big and bold. Perfectly representing the theme of the album.
Based on my raw opinion.
10.
Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
Key Tracks:
Circle The Drain
E.T.
Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)
California Gurls
The fact that this even appears on my year end list, just displays how weak this year was for albums in general. Don't know why the hell this is even getting a Grammy nod but tha tis beside the point. The album isn't horrible, just full of filler. But it's tracks like
"Circle The Drain" and
"Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" that save the day. 'CTD' has to be one of the best tracks she's ever done, it's by Tricky Stewart though...so i'm not surprised. If only the rest of the album was as strong.
