It's mutually beneficial. RS get the increased sales, Gaga gets the promo.

Less popular acts probably do need to pay for these things, but as has been established - Gaga covers shift a lot of copies, which is reason enough for any publication to succumb to her managements wishes.

It's definitely confirmation of a comeback if it's true. She's done no media since the launch of her perfume almost a year ago. She wouldn't be doing a cover for a big magazine like RS for nothing.

"Woman of The Year" even though she hasn't done anything noteworthy in 2013 so far? Even if this is evident of a comeback, it's still premature to give her that title now. But at least it's a sign that we're getting new music from her.

1. As if Adele would get off her ass to do a random photoshoot. lol (But she did win an Oscar, perform at the Oscars, won a GG, Grammy, Critics Choice, MBE, etc so she didn't necessarily didn't do nothing this year). This past year was more successful for her than any other year.

2. Katy recently covered Vogue, yet she has no new material coming out. Beyonce covered all kinds of magazines and stuff with nothing new and even performed at the Super Bowl. Being on a cover doesn't mean anything. Again though, it would make more sense for the album to be out this year, she seems to be finishing it up, etc but after the constant letdowns from the pop girls this year regarding new material, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

3. There's no official confirmation of this. Remembering back to the BTW era, where everyone kept making **** up about the album, etc, fan sources aren't that reliable. So there's not even much confirmation to this. I just wouldn't get my hopes up.
