Those 90's kids posts make me glad I am not one, so I can appreciate newer things instead of bashing them and saying "I feel so sorry for kids these days their childhood < my childhood"
Although I was born in 1995, which is a really awkward age to have for these "debates".

Although honestly, there wasn't really that much of a difference between the late 90's and early 00's. It's not like everything suddenly changed on January 1, 2000.

Thank you. Culturally the "Kid-ish" 90s ended in 2002/3.

There's a big difference though. You have more access information. It's far easier to communicate whether it's through social networking or cellphones. In the 90s, people had pagers and you were considered the **** if you had a cellphone which was usually shaped like a brick, a Nokia, with the only "app" being snake or Tetris. Internet speeds were horrible. I think most 2000s kids would shoot themselves had they really have to experience dial-up. Kids don't go outside anymore. Yeah, gaming systems and stuff existed in the 90s, but kids still had the urge to go outside and ride bikes and participate in physical activity. Nowadays, their faces are plastered to some time of gadget whether it be a DS, iPod, iPad, computer, or PS3/X-Box. MTV actually played music videos! Today, TV waves have been infiltrated by reality TV whereas in the 90s you had actual sitcoms and television shows. If you had a research project for school, you had to go to the library and search through books and ENCYCLOPEDIAS to find information. You can just type that **** in Google now and wa-la! We've gone from actual camera film to digital photos.
I mean no it wasn't some drastic thing that happened overnight, but there are clear differences in the way kids grew up in the 90s versus the 00s. Like, honestly, growing up, when I was in middle school which was in the later half of the 90s, sex was so taboo to kids and, thankfully this has changed for the most part, but if you were gay, something clearly was wrong with you.

Yeah, I still have some 90's memories. I'd really call myself a 2000's kid though - I might have been born in '96, but I associate more with things from the 2000's.

all that, rockos modern life, garfield, ninja turtles, madonna, michael jackson, titanic, pepper ann, recess, one Saturday morning, bananas in pajamas, wishbone, arthur, barney, nintendo, super nintendo, sega, full house, family matters, sabrina the teenage witch, are you afraid of the dark, guts, legends of the hidden temple, doug, hey arnold, legos, power rangers, trolls, furbys, ticke me elmo, all that, kenan and kel, mystery files of shelby woo, secret world of alex mack, aah real monsters, rugrats, tLc, mariah carey, boyz 2 men, toni braxton, puff daddy, space jam, michael jordan, arcade machines, sailor moon, donkey kong, mario kart, zelda, saved by the bell, california dreams
that's just off the top of my head....if you don't remember any of this...get out. Lol
Having a few memories in 1996 doesn't qualify you as a 90s kid. Its an experience and it was a different time!

Close call for me. Born in 92 and I barely call myself a 90s kid. More of a 2000s kid
