Except it's been vouched by pretty much every one of her songwriters that Beyonce is very hands on with every song that she records, even if she didn't write it and they're are several receipts to prove so. On B'day she gathered all the writers and the producers on her own record. No Matthew, No record label.

Thread in summary: Rumors of another annual Rihanna release gets mixed response. Navy gets pressed at anyone who isn't automatically thrilled about Unapologetic being shoved out of the way for another rushed era and decides to come for other artists.

Anyway, god bless Rihanna, but I know she and her handlers want nothing more than radio to be synonymous with Rihanna singles, so it only makes sense they'd do this. Frankly I would love her to take a break for her and her fans' sake, then come back hard and see if her career has allowed her to take several years off. At this point it all just feels like one big, cynical hit machine where she's in a state of perpetual Teenage Dreams.
