I'm trying to piont out that maybe some of you should'nt become so excited for the release of her new album, as although I'm sure it''ll be an improvement on her previous album sales (the greatest hits etc) for obvious reasons; but I think it'll join the trend of her sinking album sales. Another thing is that, I think it represents how this is only how far Britney can go. I honestly don't think she can go much more, and thats why her album sales have gone into decline. I don't claim to be a Brit expert, but from what I know, it doesn't seem as if she has really tried to branch out into other genres, or make a different sound.
I was using the RHCP, Madonna, and U2 as examples because I believe the first two artists still have an impact on todays (youthful) music market. But I suppose its unfair to compare them to the pop acts of today, Britney, Christina, Justin, Beyonce, etc.
Regardless, I suppose we just have to wait and see what happens when her album is released. It could shut me up, or make some of you realize that shes done. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.  |
i never said you were trying to compare their sales. You were saying Britney's sales have been declining and I was just showing examples of other artists who are equal to her that are also declining but WORST. U should also be saying Xtina can't save herself from the declining sales as well. I didn't pay much attention to the whole Xtina mess back in Aug. but I don't remember seeing you say ppl should calm down because her sales were declining now were you????
You are right as far as her sales will improve from the Greatest Hits album, that's an obvious, but saying her sales will continue to decline is just retarded. I'm pretty sure when she comes out with an amazing first single, amazing video, then ppl will realize maybe we were wrong 6 months ago. So I just cant wait til the day comes.
