I loved them more when they were Rhythmix to be honest, style and image wise.
Rhythmix was such a horrible, cheesy name typical of Reality TV fodder. I think their overall image is more on point then ever. The Wings cover is so Little Mix it's perfect.
Only a few days left!
Countdown to Wings - 3 Days Left #4 Big Girls Don't Cry
In terms of overall quality of performance, maybe a bit overrated here, but it holds special value as it's their first ever performance as a group. Jade actually taking lead was nice, and it was so nice to see how well all their different styles blended together. Each girl's verse was filled with passion and drive. They want to make it through so bad. Best decision Tulisa ever made.
*BONUS: Cry Me a River
Bonus to the countdown - a second performance from the Judge's Houses, as show on Xtra Factor. In all honestly, if the full performance of this was shown, it'd easily have ranked in the Top 3 for me. This 17 second clip alone is enough to slay my entire life. They were actually rumored to perform this on Finale weekend, but it somehow got cut. Either way, a must-see video and yet another reason why I'm a proud Little Mixer.
Wings - premieres live July 1st on T4 on the Beach
Radio premiere July 2nd on Radio 1.
Available on iTunes August 19
Jade and Leigh-anne used to take leads in their early performances. Since the ET performance, it was all about Perrie. It's funny how Jade and Leigh-Anne are probably taking leads again in their new single (which is nice!).
Countdown to Wings - 2 Days Left #3 You've Got the Love
The chant at the beginning was everything. So reminiscent of The Spice Girls' chant in Spice World. IT was a great nod to the greats before without ripping them off.Any doubts that they were a real, official and soon-to-be-successful girl group were shattered with this amazing performance.

There’s an amazing SECOND chorus.
There’s ‘a good beat’.
There’s gloomwobble.
There’s a strong whiff of various different types of Aguilera.
There’s an outro so astounding that it will probably be the best outro of any song to be released this summer.
There’s enough intense greatness in this song to launch Little Mix in at least eight countries that aren’t the UK.
There’s a structure that goes tiny instrumental intro / chanted version of the chorus with sparse drums in the background / first verse (includes gloomwobble) / pre-chorus where it drops out / chorus where it drops back in / second chorus where the song explodes into amazingness / small post-chorus into shorter second verse also with gloomwobble / pre-chorus / chorus / second chorus / breakdown / chorus / second chorus / amazing outro.
There’s a very on-trend anti-bullying message to the whole thing, but it feels like a really breezily defiant and carefree way of addressing it without being too ‘cry in your bedroom and only feel happy when you’re wearing a rasher of bacon on your head at a Lady Gaga concert’ about the whole thing.
There’s a chorus lyric that goes: “Mama told me not to waste my life – she said ‘spread your wings, my little butterfly, don’t let what they say keep you up at night, and they can’t detain you, these wings are made to fly’.” But the ‘fly’ bit goes “FLYYYYYYYYY” and leads into the second chorus, which goes: “We don’t let nobody bring us down, no matter what you say it won’t hurt me. Don’t matter if I fall from the sky, these wings were made to fly.”
(There’s a distinct likelihood that we’ve misheard the ‘detain’ bit to be honest.)
There’s a slight problem with the “these wings are made to fly” line which doesn’t quite work because wings are usually attached to something to make the thing fly. Wings don’t tend to exist to make themselves fly. We suppose this does not necessarily apply to something which is ‘all wing’, for example a hang-glider or a nighthawk stealth fighter, but we don’t think the song’s supposed to be about those things.
There’s a bit where they go “shhh” but they really mean “****”.
There’s a “HEY HEY HEY HEY” bit.
There’s clapping.
There’s a strong chance this will be Number One until the end of time so the Official Charts Company might as well begin the voluntary redundancies right now because there will be one less chart position to do the sums for as of August 22.

I think I can just about tell you now about this INSTANT chart hit. I'm thrilled to say it's LITTLE MIX. Their new track Wings is brill.
The song is very 'Beyonce', huge vocals, amazing chorus and super catchy. Also 'classy pop' rather than cheesy. Little Mix will be a big hit!"

Just seen Little Mix rehearse on the #t4otb Vodafone Music T4 Sessions stage. New single 'Wings' is stupidly great. Seriously brilliant.'
The performance was great. You can already tell Jesy and Leigh-Anne completely own the stage. Such superstars. Poor Jade and Perrie looked a bit nervous, though.

I thought the same thing at first, but the cap is actually Leigh-Anne, and the boombox is Jesy.

Did they only perform Wings? I thought they had a 25 minute setlist?
Most performers only had one televised performance but they performed more songs aswell, I think they will show them later on in other weekend editions of T4, they normally do that
