Martyrs and The Decent are hands down my favorite horror movies of all-time. They managed to both scare me and think about the story a lot, which actually means quite a lot coming from me. I watched hundreds of movies from the horror genre over the years and they are the ones that always come to my mind first.

I also loved the Residend Evil movies and the Silent Hill movie. Not because they were scary, but just because they were really awesome and fun to watch.

Martyrs and The Descent are in my Top 5 minimum. They're both so good. I even enjoyed the second movie despite the end.
I can't wait for The Descent 3 and hope they will make it justice, even though there won't be the original cast.

The Descent has a little edge over Martyrs though. Martyrs had a really great storyline, but I felt it lacked character development and at least an ounce of hope in it. I don't mind a bad ending at all, but at least they could've make me think that Anna would survive somehow. The first part of The Descent was through and through perfect. The second part was very enjoyable and benefits a lot from the original, but in the end that certain something was simply missing. I'm really looking forward to the third part though.

I forgot about Skeleton Key.
That film scared the HELL out of me.

I didn't appreciate Silent Hill until I watched it a couple months ago.

Insidious is entertaining but not scary.

The most of the cast died in the 1st one and 2nd
