album sales are still important ... if a singer sells more than 5 millions it means that people love his music
it's easy to sell 5 millions of a single especially if radios play the song ad nauseam..
singers like britney or madonna are still important because THEIR albums sell very well..
this is my opinion... i think that if an album is good people are happy to buy it...
