It's one of the bigger radio hits in her discography and still on the rise. It's heading for more than 2 million in digital sales by the end of its run. It's been in the top 10 for six weeks and counting. That's a hit. Not an enormous hit, but still a hit.

It doesn't really feel like a hit. Sure her fans bought it on iTunes, but I never heard it on the radio much, no one really talked about it (usually you hear all about Lady Gaga outside of ATRL), and I never heard it play anywhere.

Save your ridiculous personal anecdotes. Her fans do not keep her singles afloat as proven with Judas, You and I, and MTN. Her sales are coming, largely, from the general public at this stage in the song's performance. Applause is a big radio hit right now so if you haven't recognized it by now you're in
no position to be talking about anything being a hit in any capacity. Goodbye.

That's irrelevant. The question is:
is Applause a hit? It's not asking if this is a hit for Lady Gaga. It's not asking if this is an underwhelming hit. It's not even asking if your language comprehension skills are intact. It just wants to know if this is a hit. Managing well now?
