FGL had a big airplay the Wednesday the Hot 100 was configured two weeks ago, and Aldean dealt with the same issue today. If the next big artist could wait until Thursday to release the song to radio, the Country song could break into the Top Ten.

Also, I do not think Aldean has a real video out for Burnin It Down. Paul Grein only shared a lyric video. Both of these songs are now on Spotify's Top 50, which is a good sign. Taylor Swift's next release may not be country at all, so I guess we will wait for Luke Bryan's next big leadoff single.

BTW Do not expect Garth Brooks to reach very high on Billboard's new Official Country Chart. He is the last artist holding out from making his music available from download, and his music is also not available for streaming.

For these reasons, I do not expect Garth to try and manipulate the charts the way he did when the chart was airplay only. Brooks is likely the artist in Nashville who hates Billboard's new Official Country (hybrid) Chart the most.

Didn't Garth Brooks in a new contract make him having to release his music digitally? I think country radio will be here for his own work but not a cover single like he released a while ago. I will keep an eye on his new material how the song will do in the charts.

I seriously need people claiming OMN was an unfair #1, the song sold amazing, had amazing radio, it sounded awesome there and still being remembered. One of the most fresh pop songs this decade definetely

THIS! I'm happy Airplay is an factor counted to show popularity. It's an awesome platform of promo of music and radio is radio. My dad loved listening to radio when he was at the University and now he loves to listen to it when we are on the car, radio is awesome. But since there are so many examples of deals, and payola confirmed, they need to weight it lees in the formula and count way better Airplay. I know population is increasing and increasing. But let's be serious. Radio is not that damn popular nowdays.

People say OMN was an undeserving #1 because it blocked Gangnam Style which was CLEARLY the more popular song in the public's eye, and at one point sold 100 000 more copies a week than OMN but since radio refused to play it (xenophobia) it couldn't accumulate more point than the Maroon5 song. I mean that was just ridiculous.

Also, One More Night is a horrible, horrible song. Adam Levine had never been more annoying.

Well, it's easy since STIUTK and CMM sold almost twice as much, so they have less room to grow.
