I've always loved this song, since I first discovered it hiding at the end of Galang way back in 2005.

She really spits some of her best rhymes on this song, honestly. The bridge in particular is just so memorable.

It's better as the opener to the album than it is as a song honestly. The rest of the album just builds on the template it sets better, I think. I wouldn't have minded this ranking below quite a few tracks from Maya we already cut. Kanye shrug.

A solid 9 from me. Could be better lyrically but ha FLOW here is lethal. And the beat is all the right kinds of funky.

So we're more than halfway through the rate now. It's been...interesting so far, if a bit disappointing. The 40s took out the skits, the 30s focused on MAYA almost exclusively, while the 20s took out a gash of Arular and MAYA. Kala has remained EXTREMELY unbothered so far, losing only 2 tracks at spots 31 and 29.

The Turn should've gone before Mango Pickle Down River at least.

XR2 is the anthem though.

I simply do not understand what you all fail to see in MAYA. It's PERFECT, save for tracks 4-8. The deluxe edition is a bit messy with the bonus tracks, too, but it's simply flawless otherwise. Arular is too all over the place and Kala is overrated.
