Yes, it is. It's actually strange - although the Canadian and US Hot 100s apparently have the same "formula" the Canadian Hot 100 seems to favour sales over airplay.

If Billboard insists on keeping their dated formula then I hope a rival sales only chart is established by another publisher.

I don't like the fact audience impressions are included on a chart for popularity, alright some of them enjoyed the play but what about those that didn't like the song, the song's certainly not popular with them even though billboard make it seem that way

theres still a fairly large portion of people that do not buy music at all but just download it illegally and people who still avidly request music on the radio. so i think having a sales only chart wont truly represent popularity.

True .. but I think the sales percent that makes up the Hot 100 should be increased and the airplay should be lowered .. its only fair .. especially now that digital sales have grown up !!
