From now on, every song in this list is a masterpiece. Funny how I started this Best of thinking 2010 wasn't that good of a year in delivering music... I was truly surprised when I found myself rating every song in my top 20 with 10/10.

Eliza Doolittle – Rollerblades
Right after getting addicted to Skinny Genes I downloaded the album, and at the moment the next track was this one. It was inevitable to addict to this one too...

Shakira – Rabiosa (feat. Pitbull)
Second best dance track in the album. Pitbull fits amazingly in this song. If you don't dance to this, you are dead.
"RATATA!"
17
P!nk - Raise Your Glass
I missed Pink. Didn't really enjoy Funhouse except for So What, but I adore her other albums. I'm happy to get to love another song of hers again.
My favourite parts:
"We will never be, never be, anythin but LOUD"
"I love when it's all too much
5AM turn the radio up
Where's the rock and roll?"
"SO RAISE YOU... OH ****! SO RAISE YOUR GLASS IF YOU ARE WRONG"

Shakira – Loca (feat. Dizzee Rascal)
I like the two versions altough the "Él está por mí, y por tí borróóóóóóó!" of the spanish version slayed me.
My favourite parts:
I loved it when we thought she said "She's talking and talking just to wake you up"
And at first I could understand she said "And you like that it ain't easy" cause she says "eaji"

Shakira – Loca (con El Cata)
This song was undoubtedly my most awaited song of 2010. First time I heard it, in one of those recordings in Barcelona, I hesitated a little, but then I saw two more videos, I saw her dancing those highly captivating moves and I loved it. When a better recording of the music was found, even though it had a little winter, I got hooked on it for days.
My favourite parts are:
"Él está por mí, y por tí borróóóóóóó!" (I tend to say it with an orgasmic spanish voice I like to do) " Dios Mío!"

The Pretty Reckless – My Medicine
Astonishing vocals.
Electrifying instrumental.
Even used it as a ringtone.
EPIC EPIC EPIC
"Somebody mixed my medicine, I don't know what I'm on"
"Somebody mixed my medicine, somebody's in my head again"
Makes me wanna

Christina Aguilera – Sex for Breakfast
How can someone be so ****ty in a song so calm? Thanks to the accomplished rythm, this is one of her best ballads ever.
What I like the most in her ballads are her brilliantly achieved sharp notes. Reminds me of Love's Embrace ( Interlude)/Loving Me 4 Me, I think this song belongs more to Stripped than to Bionic.
"And when the sun rises
There's one thing on my mind
I want sex for breakfast
Stay inside"
12
Shakira – Sale el Sol
Exceptional lyrics, the best of the album. Only thing I don't like about this song is the power she puts in the chorus. It sounds too heavy for an uplifting, hopefull song.
Can't wait for the video, the preview/making of is very promising!
"Estas semanas sin verte
Me parecieron años
Tanto te quise besar
Que me duelen los labios
Mira que el miedo nos hizo
Cometer estupideces
Nos dejó sordos y ciegos
Tantas veces"
"Te lloré hasta el extremo
De lo que era posible
Cuando creía que era invencible
No hay mal que dure cien años
Ni cuerpo que lo aguante
Y lo mejor siempre espera
Adelante"

Christina Aguilera – All I Need
Deep. Divine.
"Tell you my fears, telling you everything
Telling the truth to you gives me wings
Free with my words, free as a bird
I am flying high looking at you
Everything new, you are my life
You bring me hope when I can't breathe
You give me love, you're all I need
Slowly I'm holding you closely
So happy to carry you inside me"
10
Empire of the Sun – Half Mast
This was the only single I could put of Empire of the Sun because it was the only one released in 2010
Nevertheless, this single is a masterpiece along with the other 10 masterpieces that make the cut of Empire of The Sun Album, that btw is my all time most played album (in lastfm).
"Oh oh oh honey I need you round I know I know
Listen now can we talk in love and walk the town
Be easy now, go hiking through the hills in a summer gown
Raise the kids, peace within and make our sound"
"Hear me now, I'm down on knees and praying
Though my faith is weak
Without you so please baby please give us a chance
Make a mends and I will stand until the end
A million times a trillion more"

Eliza Doolittle – So High
Favourite Eliza Doolittle song. Profound lyrics. Had a lot of meaning for me.
"It's enough for me,
Living in my dreams,
I just can't be bothered,
Why should I be bothered?
My time is up
I need you to know, that I need you,
Don't you walk away,
I'm feeling so high
From my arms, from my lips to my eyes"
"It hurts to hear that you're doing good"
"I know the truth
Gotta let you go
Gotta put you out
You've become a foe"
8
Gorillaz – On Melancholy Hill
There are no words to express how much I liked this song this summer. I am so grateful for having discovered this music video
A masterpiece of an intrumental
"Well you can't get what you want, but you can get me"

Christina Aguilera – You Lost Me
A great choice of single, better than her other choices. It was because of these magnificent ballads that I loved this album so much.
The simpler the instrumental, the better the song is. I love that she participated in the admirable lyrics. There is so much feeling put in it. Just like acting is about finding the real feelings and getting them out, Christina sings her soul out.
"You couldn't keep your hands to yourself"
"I feel like the world's been infected"
6
Shakira – Antes de las Seis
Do you relate the beginning to oriental sounds too? This is my favourite song on Sale El Sol. It brings me back to old Shakira, the one I fell in love with due to the ballads.
My favourite parts:
"Si te mostré pedazos de piel que la luz del sol aún no toca"
"Y tantos lunares que ni yo misma conocía"
"Si me ves desarmada, porque lanzas tus misiles?"
It's been a while,
I know I shouldn't have kept you waiting, but...
