Surprised to see Unapologetic in the pop category. I put it in the R&B category because, if this were the actual Grammys, I would see it in the Best Urban Contemporary Album category, but we don't have that category for our Grammys.
I'm really regretting not getting my longlist ready. I'd have liked to see Tennis Court be nominated for something. I'm seriously obsessed with that song right now.
Fair point, Michael. In trying to keep things manageable, I also complicated some category placements. Artists like Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Justin Timberlake split the difference and I ultimately had to go with the genre where more voters placed them or make an executive decision. It's definitely a lesson learned and something else I will have to consider in the future.
Well why did some songs get extensions get submissions and some didn't? Cause like correct me if I'm wrong, but I really doubt multiple people submitted “Hail to the King” Avenged Sevenfold & “Bad For My Body” Deap Vally just to name a few
For the longlist, can we only submit one choice from each category? For example... For Song of the Year, say I chose "Skyfall" by Adele. Would that be the only choice I can make, or can I make like, 5 or something like that?

maybe there are some rock listeners that didn't post in the thread cos i am surprised about the amount of country music listed since a lot of the more vocal members here seem to hate the genre

A lot of these weren't in the timeline given either too, lol.
lol, but i'm pretty sure merry go round by kacey musgraves was released before the eligibility period but it was submitted to the grammys so i included it anyway

About 30 members sent submissions, so they reflected a nice cross-section of tastes on ATRL. The longlists might not be what you expected, but not everybody who submitted was active in this thread.
I'm sorry if anything that shouldn't have been eligible is on the longlists. I tried to check for that as the ballots were coming in, but some might have gotten past me.
Just a friendly public service announcement: The wonderful "Flatline" by Mutya Keisha Siobhan could really use your votes in the Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance categories!
Thanks in advance. And keep sending in those ballots!
