NYC, at first it was pretty magical because FFS it was New York.
But the second time I noticed it was so busy, if you want to run instead of walk then NYC is the place to be.
However, let me tell you that Philadelphia is the tea.

Been there:
- London
- Rio de Janeiro
Probably:
- Los Angeles
- Barcelona
- Venice
I don't get the hate for Paris. It's the best city in the world.

From where I've been? New York. Looks great from a distance, not so great close-up.
Haven't been anywhere else that I would call overrated though... maybe Warsaw, since it's the capital of Poland, but not as nice as other big Polish cities.

LA sucks. Not how they make it seem in movies.

I find San Francisco hugely overrated, but I do like it. LA is overrated too, generally if you haven't already been there.

Wait, I really like Niagara Falls... that iconic street with the attractions The haunted houses And the view of the falls itself! The US side was a mess though, I went once, and you can barely see any of the falls (unless you paid to get on the platform, or walk down to the falls Why would I pay for something that was made by nature?) and there weren't really any attractions at all, plus it was dirtier.

Paris: Only Eiffel Tower and Louvre area area nice, tbh the city is very dirty and feels dangerous, cops running around arresting people all the time, people are very rude
Prague: The city is beautiful but has the most rude people in the world, also horrible food
Milan: nothing to do there besides buying pricey clothes in fashion stores
On the other hand, cities that actually live up to expectations: London, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Rome

I agree, especially at night it's very unsettling and intimidating, even at hot spots like the Eiffel Tower there are dozens of people beginning for money and for you to buy key rings, souvenirs etc. and most won't take no for an answer.
Also, everyone (or so it seems) smokes.

No one mentioning Tokyo such an amazing city
I would say Philadelphia, Toronto, Barcelona, London, Prague, Athens, Milan, Istanbul, Dubai and Cairo.
