Pontoon was high because it was a lead single. Yes lead singles will sell well but after that what's suppose to happen? Are they suppose to deal with the fact that they can't get a #1? Look at Jana Kramer - Why Ya Wanna is one of the biggest country hits of the year but because of digital sales now is down to number 13. How will she even go top ten with her next single?

And? it's the same to taylor too
Blown away was #12 or #13, almost top 10 when it was released to country radio
but with no promo and big competition it's down to #22
If she do promo, carrie can go to top 15 on itunes at least
I mean Blown away is already platinum before peaking on radio while none of taylor's post-album release sold 1 million copies before peaking
If they'd have waited 3 weeks to release this new system, probably taylor wouldn't get a #1 until her next lead single.
i agree that the new system it's weird, but the way that some carrie fans are talking about taylor, and other people saying that she will be #1 forever isn't real for me. Taylor will get 2 more #1s probably and then will own the chart on the RED's release week, but then she'll be like the others, she just beneficts because she's releasing an album now. If they did this in the release week of good girl, what would happened? I'd have gone #1 too probably
