Did people REALLY expect this movie to do well? But of course, knowing ATRL, Gaga will be dragged for it. Apparently having a 2 minute cameo in a movie means a lot these days.

...b/c Lady Gaga happened to have a 2 minute cameo in the movie. They're acting as if she was the female lead or that her role was going to make this movie a blockbuster hit some how.

LMAO!
2 points:
(1) her role was actually 5 minutes - so monsters quit slashing half of it
(2) up to now y'all were pretending as if Gags was carrying the film on her shoulders - you were happy that Gaga was dominant in the promos, trailers, posters, lyric vids... threads were made about the good reviews... etc etc, so your fave can't escape responsibility for the film - she obviously was cast in order to attract viewers.
OK enough of that stan stuff and let's concentrate on the film. I think this Rodriguez "Mexploitation" flopped mainly because of nepotism and other miscasting sins: too many of the prominent actors were just Rodriguez's showbiz friends and family instead of real film artists. And as if that's not bad enough, when it came to real actors that extremely fit the movie type (like Mel Gibson) they ended up being completely underused.
