Devil Jin uses the "Mishima" fighting style. As in Heihachi Mishima.
In Tekken 4 Jin wanted to distance himself from his parents(not surprising) and unlearned his Mishima style and relearned a more traditional karate type of style. Normal "Jin" has maintained that style to this day.
When Jin debuted in Tekken 3 he had a mix of styles that resembled both Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima from Tekken 2. A sort of hyper hybrid character of both styles(and has been nerfed quite a bit since). It's this hybrid style that Devil Jin has maintained, though it's a bit of a bastardized version, of this much superior Tekken 3 moveset.
