Anyways, am not a POC but you'd have to be an idiot not to see how white-washed the mainstream LGBT movement is. Just look at depictions of the Stonewall riots that scrub out the POC (especially transgender POC) involved, or the commercialization and white-washing of pride events all around the US. I've seen so many people saying they don't feel totally comfortable at pride events anymore. Or look at any number of issues plaguing the LGBT community (homelessness, violence, health) and you'll find that POC are disproportionately affected. But the mainstream LGBT movement mostly cares about marriage and getting cakes made, which white gays benefit the most from.

Hell, just look at Pulse. The fact that most of the LGBT people slaughtered there were Latino was really glossed over by the media.

I still have yet to see point being made here that is not more so an issue of race than it is of sexuality and race. Your cries for representation is literally no different than that of any PoC demanding more visibility. I won't disagree that PoC gays need more visibility, just as I wouldn't disagree PoC women, children, trans, men, elderly, etc need more visibility.

Well, you can breathe a sigh of relief cause we aren't basing this on Grindr rejection, whatever that is. Personally never in my life have i opened a grindr account, POC are more concerned about true equality, where all POC are represented in the gay mainstream media and not ignored. When they are represented its all about stereotypes. Positive images of them are important(the power of seeing good things about someone like you is life changing), assists in mental health,building healthier relationships,easier road to self acceptance,making the general public equally aware they exist. Removing the ignorance of(Its only a white gay habit and a Black, Latino or Asians cant be gay.)
