I disagree a whole bunch. I believe that while GaGa does record pop music that she definitely has created her own sound with it. She has a signature voice as well as, in my opinion, signature lyrics.
And I'll never understand people saying that her music is generic. It's pop, but to me it isn't generic. No one else would write the lyrics she writes nor would they be able to pull off the songs that have made her famous.

You mean when she entirely reworks her songs into acoustic piano ballads isn't musically artistic?

Paparazzi" acoustic on the piano shows her vulnerable, talented, and artistic side and shows that she
doesn't just sing the pop music some of you are calling "generic."

Speechless," "
Fooled Me Again," "
Future Love," as well as her covers of "
Someone to Watch Over Me" and "
Viva la Vida," are songs that no other pop artist out there would be able to do.
She's a classically trained pianist and has originality when it comes to her own music & lyrics, as well as the fashion side of the spectrum. She's definitely not the most original artist we've ever seen, but she's extremely talented and has already put a huge stamp on our generation's pop culture within only 2 years.
