How? He is higher than all of us on the socioeconomic hierarchy, loaded in money. Him being charged as much as I would for that crime is no way in hell equal.
Although I would never be stupid enough to get myself into any crime.

If he had injured or killed somebody, would he be in jail? I know the ''ordinary'' people would, but him...

Well that's his sentencing. The $2,500 is just his bond. They could order him to pay numerous fines, take a lot of classes, probation, etc which could and probably will exceed $5,000.

Honestly I hope he has to take some classes and do community service or something, because charging him will do nothing.

He's in Flordia - People get off for murder regularly there so it would probably be equal punishment as far as their courts are concerned.

Kamil24, just because he got out on bail doesn't me he's home scott-free. His hearing on his punishment will be at a later date. And its very possible for Bieber to do more **** elsewhere in the country. If he does that, his sentence will no doubt be pretty big.

So you're generally fine with people being treated differently because of their status. I get it.
So basically, if he did commit a real crime, he shouldn't be punished because his status is higher and he does more for the country than the average joe. He spends more time doing charity work, donates more of his money, etc.
So if he accidentally kill someone, because of his status, which involves money like you yourself mentioned, he shouldn't have to go to prison because he donates so much of his money to charities. If he's in prison, how is he gonna earn the money to donate and help out others? That's the argument you're opening up with your statements.

He, more than likely, will. I mean his notoriety can work both ways. It can either help him get off or it can mean a harsher punishment. Usually, we see the former with celebrities (ie., Lindsey Lohan & Chris Brown), but he's been in so much trouble lately and maybe the judge might just be tired of it and try to use this as an example. I mean he's probably not going to do jail time, but I'm pretty sure he's not going to just have to post bail and get off scot free either. He could get a combination of getting his license revoked, defensive driving classes, rehab, community service, etc.

Why are people acting like he WASN'T given equal punishment?
He had to pay the exact same bond you or I would in Florida for the crimes he committed, he will have to go back for court/sentencing just like you or I would.
This should be a breath of fresh air considering most of the time a celeb wouldn't have even been FINED for something like this!

I already said that anyone who commits a real crime should get the same amount of jail time, does not matter how rich or poor.
When it comes to fines, rich people should be fined differently because a fine is NOTHING to them.
The punishments for small crimes should be translated somehow based on how much money you have to make it fair, so that everyone feels the same burden.
And it doesn't matter how much he donates to charity, he's super rich, that money is nothing to him. The real ones are those that don't have much money and STILL donate large amounts to charity. They may not give as much money, but they gave MORE based on how much they had.

Everyone who faces a DUI doesn't get jail time though especially as their first offense. Most people get their licenses suspended (his already was apparently), have to take classes, and pay fines. People don't really face jail time for DUI unless it's habitual.

Right, I mean really..
A crime is a crime, the law is supposed to treat ALL people equally for it to be fair, that's the whole point.
You don't get a break because you can't afford the bond, that's your bad for doing the crime just as Justin shouldn't be asked to pay a higher than maximum bond just because he's Justin Beiber.

A bond isn't a fine.
And why in the world should the punishment for one crime for one person be different for someone else based on how much money they have? In case you didn't know, rich people don't like paying for things they don't want to pay for, just as much as someone in the middle class wouldn't want.
