Kicking off the top 10 is the first single from Riri's one-million selling fourth album "Rated R". "Russsian Roullette" is a beautiful song that describes domestic violence as it really is. Deserves to be in my top 10!
It's the best thing she's released this year despite the brilliant "Fallin' For You". In "I Never Told You", Colbie reveals she still has feelings for a previous love: "I miss everything about you / Can't believe that I still want you / And after all the things we've been through / I miss everything about you.
Kelly's comeback single, and immediately one of my favorite songs of 2009. It's quite similar to Because of You, but that's a good thing. Love her voice.Touches the heart.
I must admit I am not a fan of John Mayer, but (after listening to) Battle Studies is as good and possibly even better than Mayer’s previous album, Continuum. John definitely deserves a respectable place in the (my) Top.

This song is part of my life soundtrack, this song really tells how I feel most of the time. "It's 4:03 and I can't sleep /Without you next to me/I Toss and turn like the sea"
I used to hate this kind of boys-bands, but I was really impressed by this song. It reminds me Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris".
I'm not big into country music but in the last year this great group has opened my eyes to the genere and its influence on rock and other popular music. This song brings back memories, really closet to the heart memories
