Pretty sure Bonnie lobbied to get out of her contract. Literally nothing was happening with Epic. She spent the previous 10 years trying to get something going for herself, so she wasn't about to sit on the shelf with some half-assed label while she's still young enough to pursue her pop career.
And unlike other artists in that situation (Neon Hitch, Porcelain Black, ect...) Bonnie actually has the coins to do it herself. No Kickstarter necessary.
So no telling who wrote what (more importantly, if Kesha had anything to do with "I Want It All"). 
But I'm glad she's fully independent now with her own publishing rights.
