Beyonce was never scared...the album was already recorded....most of 2013 was her filming the videos for music that was already done. what is Rihanna's excuse?? she released 3 singles & the album cover/title knowing that no album was done.
It's important for a #1 album this time around. Why? In the past, she had the #1 singles to brag about. Now that the songs are not smash hits & she can't claim #1 on the single side...it's become important to at least get a #1 album to "spin" this era around as a "success". It's been 3 years...it would look especially pitiful to go away for the purpose of building anticipation & then come back and have nothing to show for it. No #1 singles and no #1 album. She's got to have a bright spot with this era.
Well, 21 was number 1 for 24 weeks, so good luck with booking that number 1 album she strives for. 2017 looks good for her plans.
This is not true at all. ANTI has nothing to do with Adele and will not be affected by her. She will sell well reguardless because her album is highly anticipated. Her problem is not knowing HOW she wants to release the album. She already stated she wants to do it differently.

Rihanna already had an era similar to this (Rated R) and still did well without a #1 single til months into the era. Anyhow I don't know how you or anyone else is getting that she's chasing #1's?
