Yes, when you think about it it's very interesting. "Russian Roulette" had very little chart success - sold very little (ict other Rihanna singles) and only peaked at 21 on Airplay so Audience was low. However, "Only Girl (In The World)" has already out-peaked it and will most likely enter the Top 10 and then further demolish the charts. So one has to wonder with its success (digitally and airplay-wise) will that propel the album sales even more? Or one has to wonder.. was Rated R propelled by scandal and promotion? I don't know what to believe but personally I think Loud will definitely open with more than 200K and could possibly reach 300,000 if the right things are done. I hope I don't end up biting my tongue.

"Only Girl" is only a generic hit like "California Gurls" I don't think those kind of hits give huge album sells because they are usually bought by kids that don't even buy albums..

But you're probably true at some point coz since Russian Roulette underperformed in US, she basically didn't have a strong first single support. She opened with 181k probably due to the interview or the holiday shopping season itself.

honestly .. I never really cared for a #1 album but I guess its important to everyone else lol ..
but it doesn't matter to be .. I just want her to sell over 200k copies her first week .. I want that more than anything .. if she does it then I'll be set for life .. **** a #1 album ..

we're gonna need MAJOR promo next month so the word can get out that rihanna is releasing a new album on november 16th .. cause last year when rated r came out the UK didn't even know she had an album out smfh until she did xfactor of coarse but the point is I want gggb type promo not rated r type promo it was SO lackluster ..
