For the most part since the US is the biggest market. But even then Pink is nowhere near as celebrated as the other three worldwide.

But why does Gaga get a spot?

She doesn't have many ATRL stans unfortunately. Still I think a lot of people like her and still buy her album's but don't deem her stan-worthy. Also she has an adult fanbase as well so thats another reason she wont have as many stans.

I honestly don't know if we're going by seniority. But from somewhere I've read before, "She has snatched more wigs in 2 years than your favorites have in 10."

It's cause P!NK can't be directly compared to Britney and Beyonce.
Cause if it didn't matter, the true trinity would be Britney, Eminem, and Beyonce.

Everybody and their momma and great aunt and niece knows what a Gaga is and could point it out in a line up.
They could name a few things she's worn most likely too.
I think the trinity is all about being culturally relevant.

But being extremely successful in just 2-3 years isn`t that big of a deal. Yes she is HUGE and she`s accomplished a LOT, but longevity is key and it`s idiotic for her to be placed on the level of Beyonce and Britney, both of whom have lasted nearly 15 years in the business.

Gaga is very culturally relevant right now and is a complete icon. But the Trinity seems like it should pertain to artists that have had a ton of longevity, many memorable songs and performances, tons of moments that are key in their careers, etc., etc., and only Beyonce and Britney have achieved those things. How has Gaga?

Like someone pointed out before Destiny's Child =/= Beyonce. If Bey was on her 8th album instead of her 4th, then it would be more fair to say that.

She`s still nearing 9 years, though. Gaga`s not even at half of that.

TBH, in my opinion it has to be just whoever is the most culturally relevant. Before Gaga there was no pop star as big as her since Britney and Beyonce (taking what would have been - Christina's spot? She takes too long in between albums and wasn't captivating enough to keep attention like Britney, with every album people root for her comeback, and failed to come back in and even than wasn't even the biggest thing at her time.) And that's what it boils down to me, there's no one big enough who it would make sense to say they belong in her spot.
Gaga has had a lot of memorable moments in her career. All the controversy/costumes/etc. kinda catapulted her. People already have those iconic looks in their head. You see a Gaga costume (among the top selling costumes last Halloween) and know it's supposed to be her. She's done a lot quickly with her image to be very memorable (bad word usage here) in such a short amount of time. That's what it boils down to me. Image.

i thought trinity is measured by popularity ? and that was in 2009/08 ...
Gaga was huge that time (still huge now), Beyonce was huge too, same as Britney (more towards comeback + longetivity)

In all honesty, it was down to pure laziness. I was tired of having to type out B, Brit & Gaga's names every time I wanted to discuss them (them being the only three of my faves who were doing something at the time). So I deemed them 'The Trinity' back in 09 on Twitter - and I guess it stuck.

You need to be a sell out to be a part of the trinity

GaGa didn't have a #1 album when she was placed in this "elite" group.

THIS.
It's really not about the "Trinity." It's about who gets placed with Beyonce and Britney, even outside of ATRL. I couldn't put the title "Why is GaGa and not Pink placed with Beyonce and Britney?" It would have been too long.
This is not diss to GaGa at all, but when it boils down to everything, Beyonce and Britney have been around the same time if you count Beyonce's success with Destiny's Child. And even if you start with her solo success, she has been around for 8 years. Pink and Christina Aguilera have been around for a long time and have had tons of success and memorable things in their careers. If anything, I think GaGa should be mentioned as the leader of the new school girls. It just seems that people put GaGa too far on Britney and Beyonce's level when they have accomplished stuff in a longer period of time. What happens if her next album isn't as successful and she isn't the cultural phenom she was when her first era was around?

sorry this is cute and all but a lil yawnworthy
she is not included cos people are just into her work (be it videos, tours, albums etc.) and her listeners rarely get bored enough to go online and discuss useless shiz like this -unlike me -

Precisely. I would definitely be willing to say that Gaga is at the forefront of the new crowd of pop girls and that she has the greatest chance of achieving longevity and many more accolades, but she most certainly does not deserve to be placed so far above her peers that she is on the level of Beyonce and Britney. Those two have had huge success and defining moments that have spanned over years and years, while Gaga has only had huge success and defining moments that have spanned over a short amount of time.
Tons of artists have experienced much success (not as much as Gaga, but a lot nonetheless) then fizzled out and become forgotten. It`s best not to think so myopically and to start thinking about the long term. Gaga is at an "if" place, where we are simply waiting to see where she will go and what she can be determined as. But now is far too early to be putting her on the level of veterans with careers two, three times as long and successful as hers.

Stanning is all about living vicariously through your a pop star, and Pink, while successful, doesn't elicit fervent interest among pop music fans. Pink is prettier than Gaga but she's sort of husky and tomboyish while Gaga embraces high fashion and girly things which appeals more to pop fans. Britney and Beyonce also have that appeal. As a result, Pink is always an afterthought, despite her continued success.

The gays hate P!nk because they think she is a lesbian. Interesting.
