there is no way to get accurate sales figures for songs unless they are released at the beginning of IFPI's charting year and stop selling at the end of the year. None of the international charts are accurate

Gaga is a "flop" no where, she's just underperforming in the US. That's it. If she ever releases the right single again and does a proper video for it (unlike Applause), she can easily surpass Katy again. She just needs to do it right for once.
