Abi knew Pete was the target & she knew they would split the votes, it was a bad idea to play her idol!
Also I don't believe there's a 4th idol, she's just psyching them out.

I really wanted Malcolm & Denise to team up with Penner & Carter, Lisa & Mike are fickle as hell!

If Abi didn't use her idol then they would have voted her out on the revote to get rid of her & the idol. They said this on the show.

If Abi was smart, she would've voted for Pete, that way the vote would be 4-3 and she'd still have her idol for next week.

Next week's gonna be predictable if Abi will be booted out.
Maybe something like this scenario will happen:

The Power 4(Malcolm,Denise,Lisa,Skupin) will target Carter next week to strengthen their alliance if he doesn't win immunity. Then the Power 4 + Penner would get rid of Abi so no one would be able to use her as the fulcrum vote. From there on, Lisa and Skupin could either stick to their alliance with Malcolm & Denise or join Penner to be the top 3 and get rid of Malcolm/Denise
