Missy accomplished more things to me and it was before the digital era. And she never went pop like Nicki did.
Let's see after Nicki's 3rd album. If she make a strong comeback then yes she would probably be one of the most successful rappers of all time. We'll see.

I wasn't putting them in the same category. It was an analogy. It was to show you that an artist is not judge based on one moment in time. Particularly in the entertainment industry, its about body of work which is why certain artist that might not be at the top of their commercial game now are still more powerful.
i mean, I've seen this happen with a few artist about let's see after a 3rd album. I don't get why it matters that Missy never went "pop" and that it was before the digital era. I mean there are stars that came out before the digital era and are still getting #1 singles, albums, multiplatinum singles and there are stars that aren't. i mean we can make any excuse but there are rappers out now that are not as successful as past rappers even with tech advancements. At some point, excuses start to get old.
I don't mind people calling this era a flop. I don't consider it a flop but I do think it was an underperformer to some degree while it was an advancement to another degree. She still accomplished alot and I guess whether or not people think she is successful, people will continued to be perched in a Nicki Minaj thread.
