It seems a little pointless then imo, I think it would be better to have the base threads as general discussion threads. That would at least keep them alive, the section will probably die down in a few days but all the other threads will keep coming.

Why should this affect Celebria at all? Most of the stuff that used to be posted in the big album threads will now be posted in Base. But if your fave has new pics or a new magazine cover or new gossip or whatever then you can still open a thread in Celebria about it. These things already used to be discussed in two or more places at once. That won't change.

I'm with Kworb, it doesn't really affect Celebria in any way at all.
We know this much: The situation in both Music News (album threads) and The Lounge (high volume of music/celeb/pop discussion threads) needed attention, and the Base forum was a step in the right direction.
From here, I'd say we need to figure out what's best for that new Base forum and whether all those fan base threads taking up space in there are helping or hurting the goal.

Well, for the reasons I said. I assumed it was about discussing the artist, that's already been cleared up. I just find it pointless but it's a nice little feature.

Its better to have 1 beyonce, lady gaga, rihanna, madonna, etc... base thread than ten million of each IMO, so I think it was a good idea

Let someone else from the stanbase make a base. And if there's not anyone else, then their probably shouldn't be a base in the first place.

Like someone said, there should be the Base forum for the stanbases, and maybe a Music Discussion forum for those other threads to keep that forum "clean".

I like the idea and it does limit a lot of the clutter that ends up coming up. Especially when something happens and there are 20 new threads about, **ZOMG!! ________ just did/said this**

That doesn't sound necessary to me. For one, once the random one page base thread die down, it'll be cleaner. Two, you view solely the base threads, the discussion threads, or the polls by using the navigation at the top.

Whenever I click on Base on the main page, it takes me there but filters out everything but polls. Is this on purpose or what?

The talk of banning threads for lessor know artists seems wrong to me. Normal atrl rules should apply for the threads in base that they should expire after a number of days if they have not been updated.
