What bothers me so much is that they just did it to shock people and get attention... like, if it was a more meaningful song and it was different circumstances I can see people not hating on it so much, but it's so obvious that they did this JUST because they knew people would react extremely.

See... if they had reunited on a classy song about forgiveness, I would have been fine. That is in good taste and makes a powerful, positive statement.
But reuniting on a song about blowing out cakes? Has anyone ever smelled the candles of a career burning out if one doesn't think about their actions?

And that's what annoys me about this stunt. It's made a serious situation into a joke.

Ive been saying this all along. I was actually here for a ballad of some sort not some song about ****ing. If they were smart too they would've put it on iTunes and gave the proceeds to DV charities and organizations. Like the Good sis Katy but i guess...

That is what pisses me off about the whole thing. Not her decision to get back with Chris (her life, her decision, even if it's a profoundly stupid one), but using the situation as a cheap marketing gimmick. It's sad and it's disgusting. I can see why her fans are so pissed, it's the biggest "**** you" she could possibly give to them.
