June 8th - June 14th, 2007.

Following an impressive gig this past Thursday in Toronto, Interpol easily muster a third week at the top spot with the infectious The Heinrich Maneuver. A full review of that show will be posted later today or tomorrow! Amy Winehouse continues to press forward with Rehab, which is slowly but surely gaining new believers on CHR each week.

The trio of Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, and Feist lead the new wave of charging singles into and towards the top 10. Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse and The White Stripes accelerate on the chart with their latest making a run for the top 10 and beyond.

A completely bi-polar week in the debut department. The absolute monster of a thrashing rock track from Velvet Revolver makes it's mark, while the latest, and certainly less flambuoyant offering from Avril Lavigne debuts.

Honestly, it doesn't come much hotter right now than Amy Winehouse. What everyone in Europe knew well over a year ago, North Americans are finally starting to catch on. Her sizzling breakthrough single, Rehab, snatches the #1 spot on the chart this week sending Interpol down to a still strong runner up position. The sizzling UK sensation also sees Back to Black scoot up fast, while it's very difficult to not start charting her upcoming UK release, Tears Dry On Their Own.

Rihanna and Justin Timberlake lead a strong CHR charge towards the top 5, as extensive club play helps the pair see solid gains within the top 10 this week. Also looking good are the likes of The White Stripes (whose new album is brilliant), Smashing Pumpkins, and Velvet Revolver. Also coming on strong is the latest from Avril Lavigne, who is benefiting from extensive airplay on the station we listen to at work.

Debut department! We got two of them, and again - they're pretty damn different! First, the latest from Reznor and co. as Nine Inch Nails jump on board. And next up is the brand new one from country sensation Kenny Chesney, who serves up yet another guaranteed format #1.

Anyway, nice to see "Capital G" debut and I do believe that I see "Icky Thump", "Tarantula" and "Fluorescent Adolescent" bunched up near each other. Top 10s for all(I hope)!

Not much time for commentary this week. But you do need to know that it's all about Rehab, which spends a second week at #1 despite the continual strength of Interpol who keep the runner up slot cozy for a second week. The temptation to chart the forthcoming UK release from Amy Winehouse, Tears Dry On Their Own, proved to be too much as the track debuts this week and makes it four (count 'em 4!) tunes on the chart this week for the UK phenom. That is a new record folks!

Hello gang! For all you from the great white North, hope you enjoy the Canada Day Long weekend! This is Roger's Weekly Top 30 for the charting period of June 29th - July 5th, 2007.

With the leak of Our Love to Admire (which is by far Interpol's best album to date), and the physical release looming, Interpol are able to get back the #1 position off a wave of regenerated anticipation. This marks the 4th non-consecutive week at #1 for The Heinrich Maneuver, and sends Amy Winehouse down to #2 with Rehab. Don't fret for Amy though, as both Back to Black and Tears Dry On Their Own witness solid gains this week.

The summer of CHR continues as Justin Timberlake scores his 4th consecutive top 5 hit off FutureSex/LoveSounds, and his 8th overall. Close behind is Canadian darling Feist, who has had a subtle but sure rise up the chart. An Alternative wave led by The White Stripes charges the top 10, with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, and Smashing Pumpkins not too far behind.

A good week in the debut department. Our lead debut comes from Bloc Party, with Hunting For Witches. Also on board is the latest from Modest Mouse, as Missed The Boat will attempt to match the #2 peak of Dashboard earlier this year.
