So true.
But some of these people take offense when Tinashe says things about black girls music, or blacks not being nominated for major awards (Oscars), or blacks being discriminated against in general life situations
Like, what?

Then how would you explain Black people from highly urbanised areas isolating themselves?

Well you live in Poland where almost everyone is white. Seeing one or two people say "no whites" probably wouldn't matter, but when you see it constantly in a place where you are a minority it's different.
|
That's too bad, cause you know. I'm also a minority, an LGBT person. The country is majorly homophobic and I respect their rights to be so. A few months ago I read an article about a Man who stuck a homophobic sticker on the window of his pub, implying gays are not allowed in. And you know what I did? I ignored it, it's his business and he's going to have less clients. Same thing can be applied to every minority, really.

This. There are actually a lot of black people in America that have no clue where they come from in Africa. For some it's impossible to find out.
|
Then why are white people who came from Africa excluded from that group?

Africa is not a country though. Besides, it's race-based as all African Americans are black. I bet my ass that white migrants from South Africa are excluded from that group.
|
Well I don't know about you but I don't even set my tinder outside of 6km. Who has time drive 160km to date someone they might not even like?
It doesn't matter if it's not a country. Quick history lesson. Africans from all different nationality were brought to America on a boat. Forced to assimilate and fuse culture, family and heritages. And that is how the African national identity came to be in America. And it doesn't exist anywhere else outside of America. Which is why you'll find that black history month doesn't even encorporate any of 47 African countries history pre-slavery. Understood?

Because their ancestors weren't slaves and actually know what country in Africa they are "from"?...

I dont think its racist to say you prefer dating one race/ethnicity over the other. I prefer dating mexicans over anyone else. i think how the person says it is a key component too. If i tell someone im not interested in dating anyone other than mexicans because of cultural reasons, would that make me racist?
it is bad to say no blacks, asians etc but if youre nice about and just explain that youre more comfortable dating within your race/dating a specific race then i dont think its right to say its racist

African Americans are an American ethnic group of black people who have similar heritage that stems from the trans Atlantic slavery in the USA. No one outside of that is considered African American. Actual Africans are referred to as Ghanian American, Keynan American, Ethiopian American, South African American etc,.

White gays really are a fickle bunch. It's blatant how coddled they have been all their lives: exclusively white friends, most likely brought up in a racist household (some of y'alls PARENTS must have supported segregation, never mind grandparents), white partners, etc.
Diversity really touches white gays' nerves.

+1. There are black girls who date only white men (Azealia Banks) and white girls who date only black men (Iggy Azalea, the Kardashians & Jenners). Does that make all of them racist?

No because Mexicans aren't a race, so if your statement is true you would date White Mexicans, Mestizo Mexican, Indigenous Mexican, Afro Mexicans, and so on.

I do because it's a 2h train ride. Besides, if you really would drop a sweet guy you've been having a great conversation because you're too lazy to organise a meeting then well

Why thank you, shove your passive aggressiveness back where it belongs. But this only shows that all black people in America are African Americans because they're black. So it's basically idem per idem, which doesn't really answer my previous accusation. It's still a race-based group, no matter the circumstances they got there in.

That's not really the point. (Not you using Azealia to defend your stance ) No one is asking you to stop dating who you want.

No, not really.
But... imagine a double minority having to deal with racist AND homophobic people. You can only ignore something for so long. Ignorance shouldn't be allowed; it should be dealt with.

Excuse my language but I agree we shouldn't put no blacks no asians e.t.c but you've got remember it's not just white people I have a friend who legit only dates black guys I've asked why and she just said she's more attracted attracted to them in comparison to other ethnicity's but his black friends call her "wog bate" or accuse her of only liking blacks because of dick size.. I mean they are not really helping everyone to move forward.. but obvioulsy not all black people are like this . I refuse to stereotype people..
But regardless I think it's okay to have a preference it's how you act on it. Simply not being attracted to a type of people cool whatever but don't blate say "NO BLACKS E.T.C that's just rude

Some of us are busy. Are in education, are in work. Life is hard enough. Wanting to date locally is not lazy.

i said in my post race/ ethnicity. I know mexicans arent a race but they are an ethnicity. Which is why i ask if it would make me racists to say i would only date mexicans since im excluding other ethnicities. But yes, i would date indigenious mexicans, white mexicans and afro mexicans. i grew up around all mexicans so thats what i know best and want to stay with

Don't appeal to my pity, use actual arguments please.
No, people have free will and it shouldn't be interfered with. There might be attempts to convince them but institutionalised solutions are wrong. As a libertarian, I treat this as something undisputable.

tbh I'm having a hard time believing that new black citizens of America aren't automatically African Americans but I have no proof to argue with this about it.
