I simply am gay. Millions of other people are gay, and it's normal. Being gay just means that I'm attracted to men, similarly to how most women are. It's not an achievement or accomplishment that I've worked for, so why should I be proud? Besides, pride can quickly lead to conceit.

its because of our gay ancestors. Read up on the revolution known as Stone Wall, and it ties in with Judy Garland's death. Decades ago, right after Judy Garland died, gays wanted to throw Judy Garland a memorial parade. The guards and police officers tried to block the street with the men, with fireguns, weapons, and threatened to use violent force. But, our ancestors decided to go on with the parade as planned; and it became a battlefield. Many died, many wounded, but they kept marching on. Why do you think our gay symbol started with a Rainbow? Because of a song called, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow."
The gay rainbow began with Judy on this day as well. Judy is our gay godmother! They fought for us to have freedom today.
Pride is about loving who you are; and showing the world they cannot bring you down, showing the world that you are who you are. Kiss the rainbow....and let your rainbow flag fly.
